Premier League announce nominees for February 2024 best player award

Seven fantastic players have been nominated by the Premier League body for the best player of the Month award for February 2024.

The list was confirmed on the official website of the Premier League on Thursday, February 29, 2024. The notable names on the list include Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden and Rasmus Holjind while Joao Gomes, Pascal Gross, Rodrigo Muniz and Ollie Watkins complete the seven-man list.

Meet your nominees;

(1) Phil Foden ( Manchester City)

He was key in Manchester City’s unbeaten run in February, winning four of the five games they played. He scored a hat-trick at Brentford and got the winning goal away to AFC Bournemouth.

(2) Joao Gomes ( Wolves)

The Brazilian had a fantastic month for Wolves against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. He got an assist and a goal respectively, he leads the stats for the most tackles made in February.

(3) Pascal Gross ( Brighton)

He scored the most goals than any other Premier League player in February, with four, and created the second-most chances, with 17.

(4) Rasmus Hojlund (Man Utd)

The 21-year-old Danish international was directly involved in six February goals. He scored in all four of his appearances, extending his overall Premier League scoring streak to six matches, the youngest player in history to achieve this.

(5) Rodrigo Muniz (Fulham)

The 22-year-old Brazilian scored four goals for the London side, he scored in three of four matches to help Fulham win twice and draw once.

(6) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Saka was the Premier League’s top scorer in February, he scored six goals for the Gunners as they defeated Arsenal and beat leaders Liverpool, plus West Ham United, Burnley and Newcastle United.

(7) Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

He scored four goals and two assists to take his total goal involvements this season to 24, the joint-most in the Premier League.
