Barcelona forward player Raphinha stole the hearts of the club’s supporters by equalling Lionel Messi’s in the UEFA Champions League.
Raphinha took his goal contribution to 19 after he scored and assisted in the game against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the quarter-final of the Champions League. He matched Lionel Messi for the most goal contributions for Barcelona in a single Champions League season.
The Brazilian scored 12 goals and created seven assists in 11 games this season which is the same number as Messi who scored 14 goals and created five assists in 11 games in one season for Barcelona.
Raphinha (12) and Robert Lewandowski (11) are the first pair of Barcelona teammates to score double figures in a Champions League season since Lionel Messi and Neymar in 2014-15 (10 each).
