After the heartfelt success of Breakaway, SAMA-nominated singer and songwriter Rowlene returns with something even more raw and revealing. Her latest single, Don’t Give Up on Me, is out now—and it’s not just a song, it’s a personal plea wrapped in melody. It also marks the second single from her newly announced EP, Moments After, landing on 30 May via ONErpm.

Don’t Give Up on Me is Rowlene at her most vulnerable. Stripped-down and soul-baring, the track taps into the quiet, lonely moments of chasing a dream when everything around you feels uncertain. It’s a message for the fighters, the creatives, and anyone who’s ever felt like giving up.

“This is the most honest I’ve ever been in a song,” Rowlene shares. “It’s about the fear of losing yourself in pursuit of what you love. About the people who walk away, the pressure to keep evolving… but at its core, it’s about holding on—to yourself, to your purpose.”

🎧 Listen to Don’t Give Up on Me here:

Musically, the single blends soft R&B tones with Afro-pop sensibilities, carried by Rowlene’s unmistakable voice and minimal, emotional production that gives her words space to breathe. The accompanying visualiser paints the emotional landscape of the song—quiet, reflective, and deeply human.

This release also opens the door to Moments After, Rowlene’s upcoming EP, which promises to take fans even deeper. Described as a collection of deeply personal reflections, the project explores the emotional aftermath of transformation—what comes after the breaking point. “Moments After is about everything that comes next,” she says. “The healing, the questions, the growth. These songs are parts of me I wasn’t ready to share—until now.”

And for fans in Johannesburg, there’s something extra special. Rowlene is hosting Rowlene x Strictly Soul Live: EP Listening Session on Tuesday, 27 May—an intimate night of live performances and a curated dinner experience. Tickets are already available, and this promises to be one of her most meaningful performances yet.

🌿 Pre-save Moments After (out 30 May) and grab your tickets now for the EP Listening Session.

Don’t Give Up on Me is now streaming everywhere via ONErpm.
