After his outburst in the early hours of April 11, 2024, afrobeat artist Ruger apologized to all those affected by his online commotion.

Ruger took to his social media and detailed the reasons behind his exit from Jonzing World. In his write up he explained his decision to exit from Jonzing World which D’Prince owns. He queried their management and told fans they had gotten lax with his success.

He said “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing World introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed. Was supposed to renegotiate the contract but I couldn’t imagine 5 years more without action.”

“I won’t lie, I’m still hurt… I’m really sorry to my fans, I love and respect everyone at Jonzing”

After this outburst, Ruger opted for a new approach and apologized to all parties affected. He went live on his Instagram, extending apologies to his fans and all those who were let down by his actions and public criticism of his former label.

He said, “I just want to say I am sorry. I won’t say I don’t care what people are saying about me, it’s only what people are saying about me that would make me act out like that. Please, cut me some slack, I love this music that I’m doing and I’ve been happy doing it. Much respect to jonzing world”.

He reiterated his admiration and offered apologies to D’Prince, the owner of Jonzing World, and his fans. He also expressed gratitude to those who reached out and intervened.
