Nigerian Afrobeats star and music executive, Runtown, has officially announced a new release date for his highly anticipated album, Soundgod Fest IV.
Originally scheduled for June 13, 2025, the singer revealed via his Instagram page on Monday, June 16, 2025, that the project will now drop on June 27, 2025.
In the post, which featured a short teaser clip and the album artwork, Runtown explained the decision to push back the release, stating it was necessary to ensure the final product meets the expectations of his fans. “Moved the drop to the 27th of June to make sure it’s absolutely fire for you guys! Meanwhile, hit the presave link in bio. #SoundgodFestIV,” he wrote.
The upcoming album marks Runtown’s official return to the music scene following a brief hiatus after the release of his 2022 project, Signs. In the lead-up to Soundgod Fest IV, the artist has already put out two singles, Flow in December 2024 and Do Me in April 2025, both of which have been well-received by fans and critics alike.
Known for his laid-back yet soulful and impactful Afrobeats sound, Runtown continues to maintain his place as one of Nigeria’s most respected hitmakers. Adding to the excitement around his comeback, the singer recently collaborated with Kizz Daniel on a track titled Peace I Chose, released on June 5, 2025.
As anticipation builds for Soundgod Fest IV, fans can presave the album via the link shared in Runtown’s bio, with expectations high for a project that reaffirms his status as the Soundgod of the Afrobeats scene.
