Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has ignited a storm of reactions online following the release of his latest single titled Brag, in which he takes aim at popular artists Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.

The contentious rap track, dropped in the early hours of Friday, May 10, 2024, has stirred debate among Nigerian music enthusiasts. Sarkodie boasts in the song about his 2016 sell-out performance at the O2 Arena, claiming to have paved the way for Nigerian acts Davido and Wizkid.

Additionally, he places himself in the same league as Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy and Ghanaian rapper, Black Sherif. Notably, a line from the song reads, “Wizkid came, I was already doing it, Davido started, I was improving it, then Odogwu came through Black Sherif & Asake.”

The release of Brag has sparked controversy and heated discussions within the music community, with fans weighing in on Sarkodie’s bold assertions and the perceived rivalry between him and the mentioned Nigerian artists.
