Shallipopi has finally dropped his much-awaited album, Shakespopi. As expected, the album has sparked a range of opinions from listeners. However, keen-eyed fans quickly picked up on a notable inclusion: Shallipopi ingeniously incorporated Bella Ciao from Money Heist into his track titled Hightension.
Since Shallipopi burst onto the Nigerian music scene, his rise to stardom has been swift. He’s effortlessly ascended into fame, igniting a trail of hits like Elon Musk, Obapluto, Cast, and Ex-Convict.
His chart-topping tracks have propelled him onto the international stage, gracing prestigious such as Afronation, Malta DLT, and Wireless Festival. To kick start 2024, he announced the release date of his new album. In his announcement, he compared himself with the world’s greatest poet and playwright, William Shakespeare.
His new album Shakespopi has nine tracks and features from Zerrydl, Reehaa, and Tega Boi. Speculation online is that the second track Hightension sampled Bella Caio from the Netflix original series Money Heist.
