Fast rising Nigerian singer, Shallipopi has opened up about his stance on relationships, emphasizing his dedication to monogamy and honesty in romantic partnerships.

In an interview with British media personality, Madam Joyce on Thursday, February 8, 2024, Shallipopi shared insights into his approach to love and fidelity.

He expressed his identity as a “lover boy” and affirmed his belief in staying faithful to one partner. Despite admitting to past heartbreak experiences, Shallipopi emphasized his commitment to remaining loyal and genuine in his relationships.

In his words, “I’m a lover boy. If I had a girl I’d be talking to her every time, but I’m not looking for love at the moment, if it comes it comes but I no dey find. If It comes on its own, it’s real, I’m just gonna let it happen. I just would want her to be herself.”

Addressing the topic of infidelity, Shallipopi firmly stated that he has never engaged in cheating and has no intentions of doing so in the future. He highlighted the risks and consequences of dishonesty in relationships, emphasizing the importance of trust and sincerity.

Reflecting on his past experiences, Shallipopi revealed that he has been hurt in relationships before, which resulted in a heartbreak tattoo on his arm as a symbol of his emotional journey. He emphasized the significance of staying true to oneself and respecting the sanctity of romantic bonds.

“Everybody must chop breakfast, I have chop breakfast many times and the worst one was the one that made me draw this heartbreak tattoo on my arm. I was the one who ended the relationship because i was hurt. If I wasn’t a lover boy, I won’t draw a heartbreak tattoo on my arm,” He added.

Furthermore, Shallipopi dismissed the idea of polygamous relationships, asserting his preference for monogamy and his belief in the importance of loyalty and commitment to one partner. He emphasized the inherent risks of infidelity and the potential consequences of being unfaithful.

“I have never been in a polygamous relationship. I stick to one woman if I am in a relationship. I can’t double date because you can get exposed easily. If you have a girlfriend, you love your girlfriend and you cheat, you will definitely be caught. I don’t cheat because I will be caught. It’s not as if I’m easily caught. You can act smart and cheat, but you know that you are lying to yourself,” He said.

Overall, Shallipopi’s candid revelations shed light on his personal values and beliefs regarding love, fidelity, and relationships, showcasing his commitment to authenticity and honesty in matters of the heart.
