Nigerians, including celebrities and fans, have shared their thoughts on the issue surrounding Speed Darlington’s arrest and his conflict with the Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu.

Speed Darlington's Arrest

Recently, it was reported that Speed Darlington was missing, as one of his friends mentioned they hadn’t heard from him for several days. Later, it was revealed that he had been arrested. After he was released, fans discovered the reason behind Speed Darlington’s arrest. In Burna Boy’s song “Don’t Cross That Line,” he clearly states that anyone who disrespects his mother will face consequences.

Speed Darlington crossed this line when a video surfaced of him insulting Burna Boy’s mother. Fans believe this explains Speed Darlington’s arrest, noting that Burna Boy had already given a warning.

Darlington Achakpo, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been released on bail following his recent arrest. The comic singer was apprehended at his home in Lagos State and transferred to Abuja, where he was detained for several days. The arrest was reportedly linked to a video in which Speed Darlington made insinuations about Burna Boy having a relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs after Diddy was arrested on charges of alleged sex trafficking, with over 1,000 bottles of baby oil found in his apartment.

In response, Burna Boy is said to have filed a cyberbullying petition against Speed Darlington, leading to his arrest.

Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke, announced his client’s release earlier today, October 8. He also shared a video of Darlington after his release, which has been circulating online along with additional photos of Speed Darlington, providing a glimpse into his post-detention state.

As more photos of Speed Darlington continue to emerge, his fans have expressed relief over his release and are eagerly awaiting his next moves.
