At the 2025 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, Shōgun was one of the standout winners, claiming four awards at the ceremony. The prestigious ceremony, which honors the year’s best performances in television and film, took place on Sunday at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Shōgun shone brightly, clinching the coveted Best Ensemble in a Drama TV Series award, a testament to the collective talent that brought the gripping historical narrative to life. In addition to the ensemble win, the show’s leading stars, Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada, were individually recognized for their remarkable performances. Sawai won Best Female Actress in a Drama Series, while Sanada took home the Best Actor in a Drama Series award, and Hiroyuki Sanada went home with the ‘Best Actor in a Drama Series’ award, further solidifying their roles as key players in the series’ success.
The evening also saw a special honor for legendary actress Jane Fonda. The 87-year-old icon was presented with the Life Achievement Award, recognizing her decades-long contribution to the entertainment industry and her influence as a trailblazer in film and television.
