Speaking on Angela Yee’s podcast, Way Up on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Simi revealed that although she and Falz share a remarkable musical “chemistry,” their bond was often misunderstood by the public. Many mistakenly perceived their artistic collaboration as indicative of a romantic relationship, despite the two maintaining a close friendship.
Simi hinted at an upcoming collaboration with Falz, set to be released later this month. Expressing her excitement about the new single, she refrained from disclosing the title but revealed Falz’s involvement in the project.
Reflecting on their past collaborations, Simi reminisced about their joint EP titled Chemistry, which they released before her marriage. The EP received positive feedback from fans who appreciated their seamless musical synergy. In her words, “I have one more single coming out at the end of this month. I can’t say the title now but I can tell you who I’m featuring on it. It’s Falz! This is interesting because Falz and I have a history. Before I got married, we did an EP and everything. People thought we were dating. We had a couple of songs together and people loved them. They were like, ‘You have a good chemistry.’ So we decided to do a joint EP and we made an EP called ‘Chemistry.’ People really loved it. “So we want to do something again for the culture. It’s kind of a funny song. I’m excited and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
The forthcoming single with Falz promises to be an intriguing addition to their collaborative repertoire. Simi teased that the track carries a lighthearted tone, reflecting their shared sense of humor and creative flair.
