Taking inspiration from musical icons like Take 6, Usher, Kanye West, and influences such as Natalia Lafourcade, Rema, Ludacris, and J. Cole, SimplyRich weaves together genres and styles to create his sound. What began as a concept for love songs evolved into a deeply personal exploration of how love transforms us—its power to uplift and break us to define self-love, and its influence on our love for others.
The tracks express his personal experiences, capturing the nuances of a polyamorous lifestyle and exploring the dual meanings of “falling”—the joy and sorrow of falling in and out of love.
The EP opens with “fight/fly,” an introduction that sets the tone for the project with compelling vocal play and good production. Each track brings a new artistic direction:
