Skales has publicly expressed his heartfelt gratitude to music executive Banky W for sponsoring his university education, a gesture that played a significant role in his academic journey. In a recent post on social media platform X, the talented musician shared a photo of his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration certificate, revealing that although he graduated from Lead City University years ago, he had only just received his official degree.
Skales took a moment to honor his mother, dedicating the certificate to her, and further acknowledged Banky W for his role in supporting his education. In his post, Skales wrote, “Aye, my BSc showed up after many years of graduation. This is for my mother and thank you to @BankyW for sponsoring the boy through school.”
Skales’ journey to stardom began in 2008 when he won the North Central region of the Zain Tru Search contest. His breakthrough came shortly after when he signed with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) record label in 2009, joining the ranks of other major Nigerian artists like Wizkid and Niyola.
Banky W, the renowned music executive and co-founder of E.M.E, has been a key figure in shaping the careers of several successful Nigerian musicians. Beyond his work in the music industry, Banky W has also enjoyed success as an artist with hits like “Ebute Metta” and his debut album ‘Back in the Building’, which cemented his place in the Nigerian music scene. In recent years, Banky W has expanded his career into politics, making strides in both the entertainment and political spheres.
