The picture depicted a gathering of men with bald heads, and one of them had the phrase “Gas Me Up” tattooed on his head. Swiftly, individuals began connecting the image to the tragic deaths of Jewish people in Nazi gas chambers during World War Two. Skepta subsequently offered an apology, recognizing the potential for offense caused by the association.
