Jangrova by British-Nigerian artiste Skepta has debuted at No. 28 on Turntable’s Nigeria Top 100.
The latest single by Skepta features Hip-hop artist Odumodublvck and British actor and Rapper Idris Elba. The single comes from Skepta’s directorial debut for Tribal Mark. The directional debut premiered on January 26, 2024. The film portrays the poignant journey of a Nigerian immigrant adapting to life in a foreign country. Additionally, the storyline delves into the realm of an undercover Black Secret Service. The cast includes a diverse group of emerging Black actors, with Jude Carmichael taking on the role of the film’s protagonist, Young Mark.

The single debuts at No. 28 on this week’s Turntable Official Nigeria Top 100. This marks Skepta’s fifth entry on the official singles chart in Nigeria. Additionally, this debut became his first entry as a lead artiste on the chart. Skepta also announced that his sixth studio album titled Knife and Fork will be released in 2024. This would be his full-length album since 2019. Skepta reacted to the news of his debut by saying “Thank You Nigeria”.
