Stephen Oluboyo has emerged as the highest-grossing writer in Nollywood for 2024, according to a report by entertainment company, FilmOne.
Oluboyo earned the status thanks to his contributions to films like “Everybody Loves Jennifer,” “Alakada Bad and Boujee,” and “Aburo.”
Movie mogul, Funke Akindele, tied with Collins Okoh and Akinlabi Ishola for the second spot on the list of highest-grossing Nollywood writers of 2024.
The film, “Everybody Loves Jennifer,” which raked in N1.125bn at the box office earned her her place.
Anthony Joseph came third for the films “Queen Lateefah,” “The Waiter,” and “Alakada Bad and Boujee,” while Jack’ Enneth Opukeme emerged as the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood writer, with films like “Farmer’s Bride” and “All’s Fair in Love.”
Stephen Okonkwo; Adebayo Tijani and Ola Olaoye; Oluyombo Oluwagbemiga and Toyin Abraham; Odunlade Adekola and Akorede Ibrahim; Ayo Makun and; Tunde Babalola emerged as 5th to 10th placed writers respectively.
