Takehiro Tomiyasu is the latest player at Arsenal Football Club who has completed his surgery in recent weeks and is most likely ruled out for the rest of the season.
The Japanese international gave an update on his official social media accounts confirming the success of the surgery he had on his right knee. Tomiyasu is the third player that recently underwent the operation after Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
What did Tomiyasu say about his injury?
He said,
“I had a surgery on my knee few days ago and I’ve already started my rehab to do what I love the most again. It has been the toughest period in my career for sure and it carries on a bit more but I won’t give up.”
Tomiyasu joined Arsenal from Bologna during the 2022 transfer window having made 30 appearances last season but injury limited him to playing just six minutes in the current campaign, coming on as a substitute against Southampton in a league game in October.
Arsenal are currently placed in second place on the Premier League table behind league leaders, Liverpool. The club’s supporters will hope they can continue in their winning way when they face West Ham United.
