Tems is set to headline the Afro Nation festival alongside Davido and Burna Boy at the Algarve Portimão in Portugal from July 9 to 11. This will be Tems’ first time headlining the iconic festival. The Nigerian star, known for her hits like Try Me, Love Me Jeje, Essence with Wizkid, Me & U, Not an Angel, and Free Mind, has already graced the Afro Nation stage in previous years, including her performances in 2022, but this year she is set to take center stage as one of the main acts.
Tems continues to make history, with three Grammy nominations this year. She’s been nominated for Best Global Music Album for her debut studio album Born in the Wild, Best Global Music Performance for her hit single Love Me Jeje, and Best African Music Performance. Tems has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Wizkid, Davido, Drake, Rihanna, Future, Asake, J. Cole, and Tyla.
Joining Tems at Afro Nation 2025 is Amaarae, the Ghanaian sensation known for blending Afrobeats with alternative sounds. Hits like Fancy and SAD GIRLZ LUV MONEY have made her a standout artist, while her collaboration with Tems on “Too Bad” by Show Dem Camp showcases their powerful chemistry. Amaarae has also worked with Nigerian stars like Tiwa Savage, Blaqbonez, and BOJ.
