Popular rapper, Terry G has sparked discussions on social media after he praised Wizkid as the “all-timer” in the Nigerian music industry, notably excluding mention of Davido in his remarks.

Taking to his social media platform on Sunday, May 5, 2024, Terry G reiterated his admiration for Wizkid’s legendary status, emphasizing that his acknowledgment was not driven by a desire for attention but rather a genuine appreciation for Wizkid’s contributions to the culture.

In his statement, Terry G highlighted Burna Boy’s current prominence but insisted that Wizkid’s impact on Nigerian music has solidified his place as one of the industry’s greats.

“Concerning what I said on Honest Bunch Podcast that was posted few weeks ago, my take still stands. Yeah currently, Burna is the biggest but when it comes to all timer, I’ll give it to Wiz… y’all can’t deny the works and the legendary status he built for himself… WIZ is HIM!!! Not posting Wiz to chase clout, just reminiscing all he’s done for the CULTURE!!! I’m contented with what I have worked for lol… but He’s HIM, I repeat!!!” Terry G’s statement read.

While Terry G’s praise for Wizkid garnered attention and agreement from many fans, the absence of Davido’s name in his tribute sparked speculation and debate among social media users.

As discussions continue to unfold online, Terry G’s remarks shed light on the ongoing scrutiny and comparisons within the Nigerian music industry, leaving fans curious about the dynamics between artists and their relationships with their peers.
