The Weeknd confirms release date and title of new album

The Weeknd has officially confirmed the release of his first and new album in three years announcing both the album title and release date.

In an unexpected turn of events, the popular Grammy award-winning singer and performer The Weeknd in an official announcement on his social media platform has confirmed the official release date as well as the title of his new sixth studio album.

The Weeknd is set to begin 2025 with the release of a new album and a special concert event in California.

The album, titled Hurry Up Tomorrow, serves as the concluding chapter of a trilogy that started with 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM. Scheduled for release on January 24, 2025, it marks The Weeknd’s sixth studio album.

Fans have already been introduced to the project through singles like “Dancing in the Flames,” “Timeless” featuring Playboi Carti, and “São Paulo” with Anitta. The following evening, The Weeknd will headline a one-night-only performance at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl Stadium.

The city of São Paulo has played a significant role in The Weeknd’s career this year. In September, he performed at the Estádio Morumbi, where he surprised fans by bringing out Anitta to perform their collaboration.

This comes after his After Hours Til Dawn Tour in 2022-2023, which drew over 3 million attendees in stadiums worldwide.
