The National Democratic Congress (NDC) organized a nationwide protest on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, to highlight alleged inconsistencies in the provisional voters’ register.

The protest, dubbed “Enough is Enough,” drew thousands of NDC supporters who marched through major cities across Ghana, all donning the party’s colors in solidarity.

Led by NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the demonstration aimed to compel the Electoral Commission (EC) to allow a forensic audit of the voters’ register. According to the NDC, the register contains irregularities, including the large-scale transfer of voters, which they believe could compromise the fairness of the upcoming December general elections.

Despite these concerns, the Electoral Commission has maintained that an audit is unnecessary, assuring that the issues flagged by the NDC will be addressed before the elections.

The protest spanned all 16 regions of the country, showcasing the party’s widespread support and determination.
