Popular TikToker Ojesanmi Afeez, known as Salo, has reportedly been shot and robbed in the Lekki area of Lagos State. The news broke late Thursday, October 11, shared by fellow TikToker Tunde Perry, who frequently collaborates with Salo during live streams.
According to Perry, Salo is currently fighting for his life at Perez Medcare Hospital in Lekki Phase 2 after being shot in the leg by assailants who stole his gold chain. “They have shot Salo in the leg. They have also stolen his gold chain at a filling station in Lekki. Some boys just rushed him to the hospital, and I have gone there now,” Perry stated.
A disturbing video circulating online shows Salo’s white AMG GLE 43 Mercedes Benz car stained with blood, with a bullet casing found on the driver’s seat. An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, described Salo’s condition as critical. “When I got to the hospital, I was not allowed to enter. The nurse just said we should keep praying for him because his condition is critical,” the witness shared.
Prior to the incident, He had posted a video pleading with his manager, known as Sula, to provide him with security personnel. In the video, he can be heard urgently requesting, “Sula, please provide me with security. I ought to have had one. Help me with one mopol, Sula, my daddy.”
The TikToker, often referred to as “Ogba President,” recently found himself in an altercation with fellow content creator Tobi Nation over a property deal. Salo claimed he had connected Tobi with the agent who sold him a house in Lekki, a claim that Tobi disputed.
Reacting to the attack, Tobi Nation expressed his sorrow over the news, stating he visited the hospital but was denied entry.
When contacted for confirmation, Lagos State Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin verified the incident, stating, “Salo was truly shot yesterday at Admiralty Way, Lekki. We have begun an investigation into the incident and will provide further updates.”
