Nigerian sensation Tiwa Savage has dropped a bombshell that has left fans buzzing. The 44-year-old award-winning singer hinted at retiring from music after the release of her upcoming studio album.
Taking to her Instagram story on Saturday morning, Savage revealed her exhaustion, saying: “This might be my last studio album. I am tired, I don try.”
While she did not disclose the album’s title or release date, the announcement has sparked speculation about the next chapter in her illustrious career.
Tiwa Savage shot to fame with her breakout single ‘Kele Kele Love’ in 2010, cementing her status as a trailblazer in the Nigerian music scene. Over the years, she has delivered a string of chart-topping hits and critically acclaimed projects that have earned her global recognition.
In 2018, Savage made history as the first female African artist to win the Best African Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The following year, she signed a major deal with Universal Music Group, further solidifying her international appeal.
Her debut album, ‘Once Upon a Time,’ was released in 2013, followed by ‘R.E.D’ in 2015. She ventured into EP territory with ‘Sugarcane’ in 2017 and continued her streak with ‘Celia’ in 2020.
