Montreal-based musical collective XOProject announces the release of their evocative new album, Red Flags and Roses, now available on all streaming platforms via Tolalito Music. Fusing Afro-Caribbean rhythms, Amapiano textures, and emotionally charged songwriting, the album delivers an immersive sonic experience that explores the highs and lows of contemporary love.

At its core, Red Flags and Roses dives into the complex emotional terrain between intoxicating passion and the deep scars it can leave behind. The album serves as both a celebration and a confrontation, juxtaposing the tenderness of love against the brutality of betrayal, and asking what happens when we ignore the warning signs in search of something real.

A standout from the project, the single “Alekezu” sets the tone early with its silky, vibrant rhythm and infectious Amapiano foundation. Carried by a smooth vocal performance that radiates confidence and charm, the track is both sonically captivating and lyrically reflective, combining Afro influences with feel-good energy that instantly draws listeners in.

Each track on the album unfolds like a chapter in a romance novel: highlighting the strength of loyal women, the seduction of temptation, the sting of unreciprocated feelings, and the resilience it takes to heal. Through festive percussion, sultry melodies, and emotionally candid lyrics, Red Flags and Roses reveals the many faces of desire and the ongoing battle between vulnerability and pride.

Behind the XOProject are visionary producers EkaySounds and Roudy H, who established the collective as a platform for blending Afro and Caribbean musical traditions while spotlighting the multicultural richness rooted in African heritage. Beyond creating genre-fusing records, XOProject is committed to nurturing emerging artists, cross-cultural collaborations, and a sound that transcends borders.

With Red Flags and Roses, XOProject invites listeners on a journey that is as rhythmically uplifting as it is emotionally deep—a summer-ready collection with the power to make you dance, reflect, and feel seen.
