Veteran Nigerian singer, Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye, known as Tony Tetuila, sent social media abuzz following his recent interaction with afro-fusion artist, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy.
The two musicians crossed paths at a nightclub in Lagos, where Burna Boy reportedly surprised Tetuila with a generous gift of over N5 million.
A video circulating online today, Friday, May 10, 2024, captured the moment Tetuila stood on stage, surrounded by several $100 bills scattered at his feet, alongside numerous bundles of N500 notes wrapped in nylon. In another segment of the video, Tetuila was seen addressing the crowd through a microphone, lavishing praise on Burna Boy and hailing him as the “giant of Africa.” Additionally, a briefcase filled with bundles of cash was prominently displayed in the footage.
