1. A Widow’s Game

La Viuda Negra, a gripping Spanish crime drama, delves into a chilling real-life murder case in Valencia. The story centers on Maje, a nurse, and her lover, who become entangled in the stabbing death of her husband, an engineer, inside a garage. As the investigation unfolds, the widow’s seemingly perfect life unravels, exposing a hidden double existence. Directed by Carlos Sedes, this psychological thriller captivates audiences with its dark twists and true-crime intensity.

2. HIT: The Third Case

HIT: The Third Case (also known as HIT 3) is a 2025 Indian Telugu-language action thriller written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Produced by Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions, it is the third installment in the popular HIT film series, following HIT: The Second Case (2022). The movie stars Nani and Srinidhi Shetty. The story follows a relentless police officer from the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT) tasked with tracking down a group of killers and putting an end to their brutal murder spree.

3. Sikandar

Sikandar is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language action drama film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The star-studded cast includes Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj, Jatin Sarna, Sanjay Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, and Kishore. The story follows Sanjay “Sikandar” Rajkot (Khan), who, driven by a tragic accident, sets out to redeem his past by transforming the lives of three people. As he fights against a corrupt system, Sikandar becomes the target of a vengeful politician, challenging deep-rooted injustice and standing up for the rights of ordinary citizens.

4. Retro

Retro (taglined Love-Laughter-War) is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Produced by Stone Bench Creations and 2D Entertainment, it stars Suriya and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. The story follows Paarivel “Paari” Kannan, an orphan raised by a gangster, who promises his wife to leave his violent past behind. But moving on proves far more challenging than he ever imagined.

5. The Heart Knows

This emotional Argentine drama tells the story of a man who falls in love with a woman, unaware she’s the widow of the man whose heart he received via transplant. A story of fate and healing, The Heart Knows is a quiet hit with deep emotional resonance.

6. Inside Man: Most Wanted

When a soldier’s son disappears at a U.S. consulate, she breaks all rules to find him, only to uncover a web of political conspiracy. This gripping German thriller blends espionage, maternal instinct, and non-stop tension. The movie stars Jeanne Goursaud, Dougray Scott, and Lera Abova.

9. Lucy

Scarlett Johansson leads this sci-fi action classic as a woman who gains superhuman powers after drug mules hide a mysterious substance in her body, which grants her extraordinary powers, which she uses to seek revenge on those who wronged her. Directed by Luc Besson.

10. A Lagos Love Story:

A Lagos Love Story is a Nigerian romantic drama now streaming on Netflix. Starring Mike Afolarin and Jemima Osunde, the film follows an aspiring event planner, Promise, who must manage Afrobeats star King Kator during Lagos’ Art & Culture Week to save her family home. Directed by Naz Onuzo, it marks Inkblot Productions’ first direct-to-Netflix release.
