Touchline Pens Heartfelt Tribute To Kwesta Following “The Big Bro Theory” Album Release. In the wake of Kwesta’s much-anticipated album The Big Bro Theory, fellow rapper Touchline took to social media to pen a moving tribute, reflecting on the legacy of the multi-award-winning artist and his personal impact on Touchline’s own career.

Touchline, known for his potent lyricism and emotional honesty, opened his post with a humorous jab at their shared height, but quickly dove into the profound influence Kwesta has had on him since the early days of South African hip hop.

“It was 2007 when I heard Shap Fede, and I remember feeling something close to what I felt when I heard Pro,” he wrote, citing Kwesta’s early work as a moment of inspiration in his youth. “I heard such an immaculate vernacular rap song… I was an instant fan from that day onwards.”

Kwesta’s powerful presence in the game has long been acknowledged, but Touchline’s message highlighted something deeper—a spiritual recognition and artistic embrace that transcends industry norms. “You see me, bro. You always have, and I don’t mean you acknowledge my skill, I mean it in a spiritual sense,” Touchline expressed.

Kwesta’s verse on “Out Of Love” appears to have struck a chord, offering Touchline the kind of validation that goes beyond words. “What you said to and about me on this song is enough to make a thug cry,” he wrote. “I feel welcome, like I’m a part of something I used to watch from the outside.”

Despite their interactions being few and often surface-level, Touchline noted that the depth of their mutual respect finds its most powerful expression through music. “We never say anything deep to each other when we link up, I guess those pleasantries are reserved for songs. I’ll respond accordingly, it’s on!”

In closing, he congratulated Kwesta on the album and urged fans to stream The Big Bro Theory, affirming that “it’s not a theory, you’ve always been BIG BRO!”
