South African pop sensation Tyla has finally broken her silence on her chart-topping collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats heavyweight Wizkid.

The genre-blending single, Dynamite, has taken the global music scene by storm and now Tyla is revealing how the explosive track came to life.

In a recent interview, the Grammy-winning singer shared that Dynamite was originally recorded back in 2022, during the early days of her career. At the time, Tyla was still a rising act trying to find her footing on the international stage, and working with a megastar like Wizkid seemed like a distant dream.

“I made Dynamite in 2022,” she revealed. “It was very exciting because at the time, I was very new. I didn’t expect him to be down for a session.”

Despite being new to the scene, Tyla’s unique sound and charisma clearly caught Wizkid’s attention. The pair met in the studio, and the chemistry was immediate. The result is Dynamite, a smooth, infectious blend of Amapiano grooves and Afrobeats melodies that feels both futuristic and deeply rooted in African rhythm.

The track showcases Tyla’s silky vocals and Wizkid’s laid-back yet commanding delivery, creating a cross-continental sound that’s resonating with audiences worldwide.

With Dynamite, Tyla further cements her place as one of Africa’s most exciting young stars, while the collaboration with Wizkid signals her growing influence and the mutual respect shared among Africa’s finest artists.

This marks yet another major moment in Tyla’s fast-rising career and fans are already calling it one of the standout collaborations of the year.
