Online personality VeryDarkMan has remained resolute in his stance, openly challenging the Falz Family to take legal action against him over leaked audio that allegedly links them to bribery claims involving Bobrisky.
In response to the threat of a lawsuit from Falz’s sister, VeryDarkMan released a video that has only heightened the controversy surrounding the situation. The audio reportedly features Bobrisky asserting that he bribed officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and claimed to have served his sentence in a private residence rather than a correctional facility. Additionally, Bobrisky allegedly offered N10 million to both Falz and his father, renowned lawyer Femi Falana, in an attempt to avoid jail time.
The Falz Family has strongly denied these accusations, with Falz himself refuting the claims. Meanwhile, his sister has vowed to take legal action against VeryDarkMan for circulating the audio recording.
In his video response, VeryDarkMan expressed confusion over the outrage from the Falz Family, insisting that their names were indeed mentioned in the recording. He further challenged them to go ahead with legal proceedings, stating, “Was your father’s name not in the recording? Was Falz’s name not in the recording?… If it’s too bad, you can lock me up for 6 months or 1 year.”
This latest development has added a new layer of complexity to the ongoing drama involving Bobrisky’s allegations and the Falz Family’s firm denials, sparking widespread public debate.

Recall that Falakemi Falana, Falz’s sister and daughter of esteemed legal expert Femi Falana, announced that they will be taking VeryDarkMan (VDM) to court after he failed to “do the needful” within 24 hours.
This follows the ultimatum given by Falz’s sister and their father, Femi Falana, through their lawyers on Wednesday, September 25. The letter demanded VDM apologize and retract the statements he made while reacting to an alleged audio conversation between Bobrisky and another man. VDM, however, maintains that he did not defame Falz or his renowned father.
Falz’s sister, Folakemi Falana, who is also an entertainment lawyer, responded by notifying VDM that they would indeed be seeing him in court. She wrote:
“My Parents and our firm, Falana & Falana, have been applying for presidential pardons for Nigerians absolutely FREE, way before a lot of you were born or before you could talk. Slide 1 is from 2016, and Slide 2 is from 2022.
It’s crazy that some Nigerians act like they can’t read or think for themselves. It’s unfortunate.
It’s even crazier that all it takes is for a ridiculous character like VDM to accuse my dad and Falz of bribery, corruption, and perversion of the course of justice. You suddenly forget who they are and what they stand for. For him to have the audacity to go as far as even accusing Falz of being homosexual and having an affair with Bobrisky is wild. The fact that some of you actually believe it is what’s blowing my mind.
For the record, anyone can write the president to request a pardon for any convicted person in Nigeria.”
Falz family then laid out the facts, making it clear that neither her father nor her brother had any dealings with Bobrisky:
“MY DAD HAS NEVER MET OR TALKED TO BOBRISKY WHETHER DIRECTLY OR VIA A PROXY.”
“BOBRISKY REACHED OUT TO FALZ THE SAME WAY HE REACHED OUT TO MANY OTHER CELEBRITIES ASKING FOR MONEY. THE REASON HE GAVE WAS SO THAT HE COULD AFFORD TO STAY IN THE VIP SECTION OF PRISON. HE NEVER EVER DISCUSSED A PRESIDENTIAL PARDON WITH HIM. HE SAID HE WAS REACHING OUT FROM PRISON, FALZ HAD NO REASON TO BELIEVE OTHERWISE.”
“DO YOU REALLY THINK MY DAD OR FALZ NEED BOB’S MONEY??? FOR WHAT?”
In closing, Falz’s sister reiterated that since VDM refused to apologize, they would see him in court: “Seeing as you have refused to do the needful, @verydarkblackman see you in court.”
