Here are the players currently in camp for the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers scheduled for March 2025.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria training camp ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers is gradually taking shape with some players already in camp ahead of their first fixture against Rwanda.

Nigeria’s head coach, Eric Sekou Chelle, arrived in Kigali on Sunday night accompanied by his entire coaching staff, as well as local players Kayode Bankole, the goalkeeper from Remo Stars, and Papa Daniel, a midfielder from Niger Tornadoes. This marks the start of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Rwanda scheduled for Friday, March 21.

Early Monday morning, international players Tolu Arokodare of Genk, Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray, and Bruno Onyemaechi of Olympiacos joined the camp. The remaining foreign-based players are expected to arrive throughout the day to kick off full-scale preparations for the highly anticipated clash at the Amahoro Stadium.

Currently, Nigeria sits fifth in Group C with just three points, having recorded three draws and a loss. Meanwhile, Rwanda leads the group with seven points and has proven to be a challenging opponent for Nigeria. Since their first encounter on June 4, 2004, both teams have won one match each, with three games ending in draws.

Chelle’s team will aim for an away victory to boost their standing and overcome their recent struggles against the Rwandan side.
