Nigerian music icon Wizkid recently met with his senior colleague, Don Jazzy, in Lagos, signaling a reconciliation between the two music industry giants.
The meeting comes months after their highly publicized online spat.
Wizkid, known for his hit songs Essence and Ojuelegba, was spotted lounging on a couch with Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records in Lagos. The two superstars shared a brief hug as Wizkid’s convoy prepared to depart from Don Jazzy’s residence.
Don Jazzy took to social media to share a photo from the meeting, captioning it with elephant and eagle emojis. The reunion indicates that the two music icons have put their differences aside, following Wizkid’s attempt to repair ties with Don Jazzy earlier this year.
The feud between the two began in April 2024, when Wizkid referred to Don Jazzy as an “influencer” on his X page, sparking a social media outrage. However, weeks later, Wizkid acknowledged Don Jazzy as an “amazing human,” signaling an end to the rift.
