He recently added two new certifications to his already impressive collection. Wizkid’s global smash Come Closer featuring Drake rockets to a staggering 4x Platinum status in South Africa, while his smooth track Sweet One earns a well-deserved Gold certification.
This isn’t just a one-hit wonder situation. In 2023, Wizkid dominated the South African charts with a whopping five platinum certifications for songs from his chart-topping album Made in Lagos.
These certifications included Essence which has a 7x Platinum. Ginger featuring Burna Boy which is a 2x Platinum. Followed by No Stress, True Love featuring Tay Iwar and Projexx and Longtime featuring Skepta with one platinum certification each.
