Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun Ibrahim, globally known as Wizkid, has confirmed plans for a headline gig in his hometown of Lagos as he kicks off the tour for his latest album, Morayo.
The global pop icon recently released his seventh studio album, a 16-track masterpiece titled Morayo, dedicated to his late mother as a heartfelt tribute following her passing in 2023. The project, a follow-up to his 2022 album More Love, Less Ego, has been making waves globally, shattering records on streaming platforms like Spotify. It features an exciting lineup of collaborators, including Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Tiakola, and others.
This announcement marks Wizkid’s return to a Lagos stage after two years, his last performance being at the 2022 Flytime Music Festival. Fans, eager to see one of Africa’s biggest music exports back home, are buzzing with anticipation.
A few days ago, Wizkid first hinted at the Lagos concert on Instagram, posting a photo with the caption, “Lagos December,” sparking excitement among his followers.
