Wizkid in his recent posts on social media has shaded both Ladipoe and Don Jazzy following the rapper’s statement on the struggles of Afrobeats.

Multiple award-winning singer and performer Wizkid whilst addressing fans’ comments and questions made subtle shades at the Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy and his artist Ladipoe following the rapper’s comment on the struggle of the Afrobeats’ identity, This comes right after the singer sparked a debate of a possible beef with Davido following his recent video update on social media.

The statement by Wiz came right after the Mavin Records rapper Ladipoe had shared a post on his social media platform which stated, “Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”

During an online interaction with fans, Wizkid was made aware of a comment made by Ladipoe, a fellow musician. In response, Wizkid mentioned that he would rather not address someone who is signed to an influencer. Initially, fans were confused and unsure of what Wizkid meant.

However, a social media user on the platform formerly known as Twitter was able to connect the dots and mentioned Don Jazzy’s name in relation to the comment made by Ladipoe. This post earned a retweet from Wizkid, indicating that the social media user had correctly understood the situation.
