Nigerian superstar Wizkid has addressed rumors that he was throwing shade at his colleague Davido and his upcoming wedding to Chioma.
The Essence crooner took to Twitter to clarify that he has no hate in his heart for anyone and wishes everybody well.
The controversy started when Wizkid tweeted that he was saying a prayer for every understanding woman on earth. Many fans interpreted this as a jab aimed at Davido and his wife-to-be, Chioma.
However, Wizkid dismissed these claims, telling fans not to mix up his tweets.”Y’all so foolish. Don’t mix up my tweets. I wish everybody well. Love self and no hate in my heart for no man,” Wizkid wrote in a follow-up tweet.
The back-and-forth between Wizkid and Davido’s fans comes as the music industry eagerly awaits Davido and Chioma’s highly anticipated wedding, dubbed Chivido 2024.
Davido and Wizkid, two of Nigeria’s biggest music stars, have had a long-standing rivalry that has played out in the media over the years.Despite the tension, Wizkid maintains that he has no ill feelings towards Davido. “I wish everybody well,” he reiterated in his tweet.
As the drama continues to unfold, fans of both artists have taken to social media to defend their favorite singer.
