Hours before the release of his heavily anticipated album Morayo, bits of the album have leaked online. Fans, bloggers and media houses have posted several snippets of songs from Wizkid that have never been heard before and match with the tracks on the album.
Bad Girl with Asake, Troubled mind, Slow, Bad for you and more tracks have had bits of them released on X. The snippets have thrown X into commotion as fans are on different sides of the coin with some questioning the authenticity of the songs while others rate the quality of the records.
30BG members and Wizkid haters have seized the opportunity to give early negative comments of the album, and attack Wizkid for his sound direction.
In 2020, Made In Lagos also leaked few hours to its release and a similar scenario ensued. The leaks were later taken down before the album dropped properly on streaming platforms. Made In Lagos went on to become one of the greatest African albums of all time.
Let it be known that sometimes leaks originate from the camp of the artist themselves, as artist teams sometimes see this as a promotional tool to create conversation around the song while other times, they get leaked unintentionally.
It is unclear who the source of the leaks is at this time, and the effect it’d have on the highly anticipated album expected to drop by midnight.
