Yanga Chief Drops His Sophomore Album “Lord Faku – The Life Of A Dyan.” A momentous shift in the South African hip-hop scene, Yanga Chief’s highly anticipated sophomore album Lord Faku – The Life of A Dyan is here, and it’s nothing short of a masterpiece.

Yanga Chief Drops His Sophomore Album “Lord Faku – The Life Of A Dyan”

Released at the stroke of midnight, the 17-track album is a testament to Yanga’s growth, independence, and unapologetic rise to prominence. True to his signature style, Yanga doesn’t just make music—he makes statements.

Opening with the bold Ndim Kwakhona, Yanga sets the tone, addressing his enemies head-on with fierce bars and unwavering confidence. It’s clear from the first track that he’s no longer the underdog—he’s a force to be reckoned with.

The second track, Abandiva Yanga, boasts an energetic, fast-paced beat, with Yanga floating over the instrumental in a braggadocious flow that speaks to his success, his hustle, and his undeniable place in the rap game.

A shift comes with the mellow Jesus Peace, where the vibes slow down and Yanga provides a much-needed moment of calm with smooth, peaceful melodies that perfectly match the track’s title.

Peaceful Place sees Yanga Chief teaming up with 25K, and the result is a reflective anthem where both artists flex their lyrical prowess. Yanga’s signature raps are complemented by 25K’s introspective verse, creating a laid-back but impactful energy.

In Ask God About Me, Yanga affirms his blessings, giving praise to the Most High and acknowledging that his rise to success is no accident. It’s a track that oozes confidence and a deep-rooted sense of faith.

The album takes an emotional turn with WAR, a collaboration with Yanga’s idol, Nathi. The track resonates with raw emotion as Yanga speaks on the battles he’s faced, both internal and external, with Nathi’s soulful contribution adding another layer of depth.

Perhaps the most poignant track is Set Me Free, featuring the late, great AKA. For many, this song will serve as a bittersweet reminder of AKA’s impact on the industry. The song’s introspective lyrics and reverence for the Almighty are a testament to both Yanga and AKA’s unwavering faith and belief in something greater than themselves.

The album also sees Yanga Chief teaming up with some of SA’s finest in Same Thing, where Stogie T and Frank Casino bring their flavour to the mix. Meanwhile, Drakensburg featuring Khuli Chana and HennyBelit brings a dynamic synergy, with each artist bringing their unique touch to this standout track.

The album concludes with Hands Up, a collaboration with Bhut’ Legend, LookatUps, and SimulationRxps, closing off the project with an energy that reflects Yanga’s confidence and his solidified place in the rap game.

Lord Faku – The Life of A Dyan is not just an album; it’s a declaration. Yanga Chief has officially arrived, and his narrative is one of independence, growth, and faith. With 17 tracks of pure authenticity, this album is a celebration of everything that makes Yanga Chief the artist he is today. No longer just a human—he is no ordinary man.
