Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has indicated to her fans that her album is nearly finished.
The renowned Nigerian artist, Yemi Alade, also known as Mama Africa, has suggested that her album is nearing completion. Sharing the update on her social media, she posted pictures of herself with the caption, “Album 80% done”.
In November 2023, the award-winning artist tantalized her fans with a hint that she would release an album in 2024. She said this during her interview on Cool FM’s The Big Friday Show. However, there is no official release date. In addition, Yemi Alade created the official song for the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations which took place from January 13 to February 11, 2024.

The song titled ‘Akwaba’ was put together by Ivorian group Magic System, global hit Premier Gaou; Egyptian star Mohamed Ramadan, and Yemi Alade. Recently at the 2023 inaugural Trace Music Award, she won Best Music Video for her song ‘Baddie’.
Yemi Alade performed at the opening ceremony of the Africa Cup of Nations 2023 (AFCON). Although Nigeria lost to Ivory Coast, Yemi Alade had a spectacular performance.
