Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, is set to headline the opening ceremony of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

Yemi Alade excitedly shared this exciting news with her fans on her social media page, X on Thursday, January 11, 2023.

Expressing her joy, the singer described the opportunity as a dream come true. She emphasized the significance of prayer and manifesting one’s desires, revealing her longstanding wish to perform at a football stadium amidst a massive crowd.

Yemi Alade, reflecting on her journey, stated, “I can’t buttress the importance of prayer and speaking into existence your heart desires. Since 2016, I have desired to perform at the stadium for football ceremonies surrounded by 100’s of dancers and millions of people. 7 years later, I’m performing at AFCON. It is indeed an honour and a dream come true. It’s just the beginning.”

The singer shared glimpses of her time at a stadium in Cote d’Ivoire on today, January 12, 2024, captioning the photos with anticipation for the upcoming event: “The Pressure Is Getting “WESSER” (A)Ivory Coast X (B)GUNIEA BISSAU 8PM Tmrw.”

The grand opening ceremony of the 2023 AFCON is slated for Saturday, January 13, 2024, promising a spectacular start to the prestigious football tournament.

…people.Alot of calls came in almost every year when football championship preparations were made, but none was favourable. I never said this, but at some point i started feeling like my team was chasing them away 🤣, but something told me to ..
