Nigerian singer Jaywon has taken to social media to defend himself against rapper Odumodublvck, who recently mocked him in a post that ignited a heated exchange between the two artists.
On Sunday, September 30, Odumodublvck shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) featuring side-by-side images of Ayra Starr with Jaywon and American rapper Future. The caption, “This life ehn,” implied a contrast between the two encounters, which Odumodublvck used to provoke ridicule.
In a swift response, Jaywon fired back, questioning Odumodublvck’s standing in the music industry. “Lol, you’re already dragging your senior? Who’s going to drag you? You haven’t even started life, and you’re already stepping on toes,” he tweeted, asserting his seniority and challenging Odumodublvck’s boldness.

The exchange highlights a simmering tension between the two artists. This isn’t the first time their paths have crossed; earlier this year, Jaywon criticized Odumodublvck and Burna Boy for claiming that “no one paved the way” for them in the music scene. Despite expressing his admiration for Odumodublvck’s energy, he remarked, “I know his music is not all that.”

Odumodublvck, feeling slighted by Jaywon’s comments, retaliated by dismissing the veteran singer’s contributions to the industry, arguing that despite his years in the game, the singer has “nothing to show for it.”
