Nigerian hip-hop star Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has publicly slammed fellow rapper Blaqbonez, urging him to stop claiming the title of Nigeria’s best rapper.
The ongoing tension between the two artists intensified after Blaqbonez threw a jab at Odumodublvck in his latest collaboration with A-Q titled Who’s Really Rapping. Their heated exchange quickly spilled onto social media, fueling debates within the rap community.
Addressing the beef during a recent interview with Jusmen 105.7 FM, Odumodublvck criticized Blaqbonez’s bold claim, describing it as disrespectful to legendary figures in Nigerian hip-hop.
“Do you know what it means to say you’re the best rapper in Nigeria?” Odumodublvck questioned. “Stop joking. M.I is the best rapper, Vector is the best rapper. If you were, you would’ve won Best Rap Album at the Headies, you weren’t even nominated for Best Rap Single.”
He went further to acknowledge industry veterans like Phyno, Olamide, Modenine, Ghost, and Tec, stating that such a title should only be claimed by someone with undeniable achievements and legacy.
“It’s getting on my nerves, bro. You can get smacked in the face for that kind of sh*t,” Odumodublvck added, cautioning Blaqbonez against misleading fans with exaggerated claims about being Nigeria’s best rapper.
While reaffirming Blaqbonez’s talent, Odumodublvck insisted the rapper should avoid using what he described as insecurities to block opportunities for others in the industry. The clash has since sparked wide conversations among rap fans, with many weighing in on the credibility of both artists’ positions.
